TSRC 2018

Cerulean's poster at TSRC

Cerulean will be presenting a poster at TSRC in Memphis next week entitled:

“LOW COST ELECTROCHEMICAL SENSOR AS A MEANS FOR DETERMINING DRY WICK CONDITIONS IN TANK ENDS DEVICES”

The presentation continues the work Cerulean has been undertaking to understand vaping with particular emphasis on use of the CETI8 machine for generating e-cigarette aerosol.

Previous experiments using FTIR (Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy) analysis of the aerosol produced by e-cigarettes in “dry wicking” conditions has shown that trace levels of CO accompany the production of carbonyls such as Formaldehyde. This may be the result of wick scorching or the catalytic decomposition of the residual e-liquid. The study was designed to explore the conditions under which CO is generated from ENDs devices and the suitability of low cost CO detectors for this purpose.

Cerulean will also be inviting attendees to their hospitality suite (contact here for further details) to meet participants over cocktails and canapés.
